Anies elected Governor after divisive election campaign

Anies Baswedan has defeated Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) for the powerful position of Governor of the Province of Jakarta, after a long and tension-filled race.
Observers say this result could have implications for the Indonesian Presidential election in 2019, plus future implications on Indonesia’s economic relationship with Australia.
