Amani Vassiliou is in her final year of a Journalism/Arts degree with a dual major in International Relations and English Literature. She has previously undertaken an internship at Art Asia Pacific magazine in Hong Kong.

Beth is in her final year of a Journalism/Communications degree with a major in Public Relations. She has gained experience interning as a PR professional at Salvos Legal and OHarvest Brisbane. Beth is passionate about television broadcasting and reporting and hopes to examine the western influences in Indonesia in the "voluntourism" market.

Elora Ghea is a fourth year Science and Journalism student and a Microbiology major at the University of Queensland. She has a passion for vivid storytelling and, thanks to the Australian Government's New Colombo Plan Scholarship, hopes to paint Indonesian culture in a colourful light.

Jordan McMullen joined the team in 2017 from a background in property and cultural journalism. He has previously interned at the Australian Financial Review, The ABC and has worked alongside other budding students that produced the first Change Maker's Inc Magazine.

Justin Lillecrapp is in his final year of a business management/Journalism degree, Justin wants to broaden his horizons and learn to deal with the challenges which arise overseas. Justin is passionate about sport and also has a keen interest in politics.

Katreena Bacatan is a 3rd year Journalism and Arts student in the University of Queensland. In Indonesia, she hopes to discover stories that have a significant marker on the country, especially in relation to women and the environment. Looking forward, Katreena hopes to write stories about developing countries and Asian ethnic communities.

She has a strong passion and enthusiasm for writing and reporting about news and current affairs and currently volunteers as a news reporter for Brisbane's local community radio station 4ZZZ. She has a keen desire to discover and research interesting and engaging news stories and to find creative ways and angles to tell them.

Rachael is passionate about raising awareness through visual journalism. Studying law, in addition to journalism, she is able to put her legal knowledge to use and produce in-depth thought-provoking stories. She understands how journalism can change the world. Travelling to Indonesia she was interested in exploring topics that had both social and political elements.

Sophie Volker is currently working part-time as a Cadet Journalist at the Dalby Herald while finishing her Bachelor of Journalism at UQ. She is very excited to be taking part on the UQ in Indonesia trip because she is passionate about travelling and social justice journalism. During the trip, Sophie hopes to investigate the legal system in Indonesia.

Timothy has a passion for storytelling through the visual medium, with a keen eye for photography and an appetite for producing engaging content. Coming to Indonesia with a background in economics and political science, he is interested in learning how to report in a high-stakes environment and create interesting pieces on foreign affairs.
