JACradio is the University of Queensland’s dynamic student radio station. JACradio operates from the School of Journalism and Communication and broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
JACradio is uniquely local with programming that strives to be the ‘voice’ of young people. We have over 24 local programs, for students, by students. Tap into the local music scene; get the latest news and find out what’s happening on the internet.
Fast-track your rise to radio super stardom! This intensive half-day workshop will build your broadcast interviewing skills, presenting skills and production skills. We’ll also have industry professionals who are at the top of their game to tell us what it’s like to be in radio.
If you’re thinking about getting involved in JACradio this semester, or you’re studying Journalism in Sound, jump on this!
It’s recommended that you keep an eye on the news over the next few days and bring a story you’ve followed along with you- you’ll get the chance to work with it during the workshops
Free lunch is included!
