After the Choice
Much of the conversation regarding abortion focuses on morality and ethics, but what happens after a decision has been made?
Angel Parsons travels to Indonesia, where an estimated two million abortions take place each year, despite restrictive laws. They’re often underground, and unsafe.
And it’s these unsafe abortions which cause 14 to 16 per cent of all maternal deaths in South East Asia.
After the Choice explores Indonesian law, sex education and culture. But most importantly, it looks at how these factors impact the lives of Indonesian women following their decision to terminate a pregnancy.
