Spreading the awareness of celebrities’ promotional culture to body image standards
Celebrities predominate in modern medias and are frequently seen as the pinnacle of ideal beauty. It has been claimed that the frequent promotions of celebrities (Fitch, 2017), feed into the assumption that people have an intrinsic need to compare themselves against others, particularly in the absence of objective standards (Brown & Tiggeman, 2022).
