Mumbai’s Train System: Women Only Carriages

For years, trains in Mumbai have had carriages reserved for women, in an attempt to provide them with safety and prevent harassment. I spoke to Niharika Arora and Amulya Prahbu, to hear their thoughts on the effectiveness of these “women only” carriages.
